NYFW S/S ’14: Day 1 & 2 Favourites

The first two days of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week has showcased some amazing talent and these are my fave 3 so far.

Noon By Noor

I love this collection, the combination of fun and exotic prints with soft intricate embellishments set the outfits off perfectly, giving each piece a feminine sophistication with a fun and girly twist. Noon By Noor launched their first collection in 2011 and have continued their success to date with well thought out and modern designs.

Nicole Miller

The S/S ’14 collection by Nicole Miller has a strong feminine silhouette and the mix of soft floaty fabrics against leather gives these outfits a young and modern feel creating a unique body consciousness that Nicole has become known for . My favourite by far is the monochrome outfit with a black crop top and leather corset and fringed leather and chiffon skirt.  The huge contrasts between fabrics sets the outfit apart and gives the model an edgy but sophisticated image.

Jill Stuart

I am loving these pieces from Jill Stuart’s S/S ’14 collection. The last two are practically my perfect dresses! I would love to get my hands on them both. The collection has a sport luxe element in gorgeous fabrics with intricate detailing and of course cut out panels which is so on trend at the moment. And the way the two spaghetti strap dresses appear as if they are floating on the body is both stylish and sexy and done perfectly.

I can’t wait to see how the rest of the week unfolds and I am positive I will have a few more favourites to add to the list.
